Vienna Autoshow 2020 – go-e products attract visitors

In 2020, e-mobility is really taking off – and the smart go-e products are part of it. The Vienna Autoshow 2020 (16 to 19 January), where a 3,500 m² e-mobility area was dedicated to the mobility topic of the future, laid the groundwork for this. Countless of the approx. 160,000 visitors (including the preview day) took the opportunity to take advantage of the wide range of information on electric driving. This was also the case at the largest stand for charging technology within the e-Mobility Area. There the go-e trade fair team held almost non-stop consulting sessions. In addition to general information on emobility, the guests were interested in detailed questions about the go-e charging stations for electric cars, the go-eController for smart energy management and the ONwheel retrofit bicycle motor.

Presentation programme of the e-Mobility Area illuminates the path to widespread electric mobility

At the Vienna Autoshow electromobility was supported by Leonore Gewessler. Austria’s recently sworn in Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology officially opened the e-Mobility Area in the presence of invited guests on the eve before the first day of the trade fair. The special area about electric mobility attracted visitors with electric cars of various brands, matching charging technology, a two-wheeler area and a wide-ranging information and stage programme. This also included an attempt to dispel the myths and fables surrounding electric cars. A specialist lecture by go-e provided answers to the question: “Do electric cars endanger the power supply?” The clear result: 100% electric cars on German and Austrian roads are possible in the medium term. However, a precondition for this is the use of intelligent charging technology with integrated load balancing and the possibility of photovoltaic surplus charging. For this reason, these and other functions are always integrated in charging stations for electric cars from go-e at no additional cost.

Visitor question: which advantages does the go-e Charger HOME+ have compared to another charging station or wallbox?

The previous knowledge of the visitors at the go-e booth in Vienna was very different. Some visitors apologised formally for their supposed “beginner’s questions”. However, the go-e trade fair team paid as much attention to these as they did to more detailed questions about individual functions of the go-e products or inquiries from electricians and solar technicians regarding technical details. A recurring question asked by visitors: “What distinguishes a go-eCharger from other charging solutions?” Answer: With the go-eCharger HOME+, go-e offers a charging station for electric cars at a smart price that includes all the functions of a fully-equipped wallbox. For example, WLAN or the possibility of connecting to a electricity price exchange is always included. In addition, the Charger in the version with a CEE red 32A plug is also a mobile charging station and thus a good companion when travelling. In the fixed installation version, however, the charging box from go-e can be used as a pure wallbox.

During the trade fair team gave a lot of basic knowledge about the go-e Charger, the ONwheel, as always, fascinated whole groups of visitors. Sometimes, visitors who already use the go-eCharger HOME+ came to the booth. They also confirmed its advantages to other guests with whom they willingly shared their good experiences in charging electric cars.
