Industrial Designer

Your area of responsibility

• Responsible for the aesthetic direction of our device portfolio
• Collecting user needs and researching design trends
• Integrating user and technical requirements into compelling concepts
• Demonstrating designs in various stages through visualisations and models
• Developing parts and assemblies in Solidworks
• Testing and validating devices, accessories and packaging with users
• Collaborating with product management, engineering and marketing

It would be great if you have 

• 4 years of experience as an industrial designer or equivalent
• Confident in defining the design language for a product portfolio
• Fluent in creating concepts incorporating desirability, reliability and viability
• Proven ability to design parts for manufacturing and assembly
• Proven ability to define colour, material and finish (CMF)
• Experience in designing injection molded plastics parts
• Efficient in working with a 3D CAD engineering package
• Able to create high-quality visualisations for evaluation and presentation
• Able to make fast prototypes for volume and usability evaluation
• Excited to work independently and to take responsibility
• Able to communicate openly and in an effective manner
• Fluent communicator in English

It would be even better if you have

• Academic degree related to the position
• Experience with trends and user research
• Experience with SolidWorks
• Experience with electronics housings
• Experience with designing high-quality surfaces
• Any proficiency in German
