Market Research Manager

Your area of responsibility

  • Independent conception, execution and evaluation of quantitative market research projects with international orientation, if necessary in cooperation with external service providers and agencies
  • Definition and phrasing of objectives or hypotheses for market research projects
  • Determination of market analysis or market research methods
  • Search for secondary sources, analysis of relevant data and formulation of recommendations
  • Establishment of a representative panel of all target groups for product and software tests
  • Implementation of surveys with a representative target group for B2C and B2B
  • Analysis of study results and derivation of recommendations for action
  • Procurement of key market figures and derivation of country-specific forecasts
  • Development of customer segmentations and general recommendations for action
  • Analysis of competitors including derivation of strengths/weaknesses as well as positioning and price analyses
  • Interface for internal data collection and preparation as well as ensuring data quality

It would be great if you have

  • At least two to three years of relevant professional experience in the field of market research on the agency or company side
  • Solid experience with qualitative methods of market research and statistics as well as data analysis and preparation
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, ideally also knowledge of SPSS (or similar software for statistical evaluation of market surveys) and relevant data visualization software
  • Ability to clearly present market research results and recommendations for action
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Extremely accurate, structured, determined and reliable way of working
  • Passion for numbers as well as data and interpreting them in a goal-oriented manner
  • High level of initiative, creativity and problem-solving skills

It would be even better if you have 

  • Completed studies with a focus on market research, empirical social research, statistics, marketing or comparable, ideally in combination with a technical background
  • Understanding of strategic and operational marketing
