Senior Firmware Engineer C 

Your responsibilities are:

  • Building a microcontroller based continuous integration testing system for our next generation electric vehicle charger. This includes:
    • Simulating electric vehicles from various manufacturers for simple power transfer
    • Simulating electric vehicles from various manufacturers for charging over v2g/ISO15118 (with the help of vendor-provided hardware simulator)
    • Simulating power grid entity over EEBUS (with the help of vendor-provided hardware simulator)
  • Writing the microcontroller firmware powering our real-time MCU systems
  • Developing an API for a high level integration testing framework (e.g., Robot Framework)
  • Interdisciplinary technical support for hardware and software teams
  • Code reviews for charger’s embedded software


The requirements for this role are

  • Empathetic towards your colleagues with a collaborative mindset
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers, such as STM32, NXP LPC, Kinetis, GD32 or similar
  • Knowledge of communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART
  • At least 2 Years experience with C or C++ Development
  • At least 5 Years experience with microcontroller programming
  • Familiar in using git-based repositories and CI/CD systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Basic understanding of electronics
  • Experience with compilers and debugging tools such as GCC, LLVM, GDB and Segger Ozone or similar
  • Experience in designing and structuring bare metal firmware


Additionally we would be excited if you have

  • Experience with the Linux command line
  • Experience in basic PCB design
  • Experience with networking technologies and IT security
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Experience with FPGA design
